Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For over a thousand years pilgrims have been traveling on foot to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, North-Western Spain where the apostle Saint James the Great is said to be laid to rest. The route, known also as The Way of St James, is a physical and mental challenge as it winds its way along the varied paths and tracks in the mountains and rolling hills. I'm joining a CAFOD group walking the last 100 miles to the city of Santiago de Compostela..
CAFOD is a member of DEC and is providing aid for Pakistan flood victims, as well as continuing its normal work as described below.
HIV and AIDS is a major scourge on poor communities throughout the world. One of the tragic consequences of AIDS is that millions of children lose the people who love and protect them. CAFOD supports many of these children, providing loving homes for them, as well as life-saving medicines and counselling.
By sponsoring my walk you will help me raise money to help CAFOD continue supporting those in need.
