*****PLEASE SUPPORT JOES DREAM TO WALK AND GIVE BEAUTIFUL JOE THE GIFT THAT WE TAKE FOR GRAUNTED EVERY DAY!!!*******

When the pain kicks in TEAM JOES DREAM TO WALK will be thinking about how determined Joe has been all his life and the battle he has ahead!

Joe is a bright, funny, 3 year old boy with the most infectious laugh. He was born with cerebral palsy, which affects mainly the muscles in his legs, making them so tight and stiff that he cannot stand or walk unaided - even sitting on the floor is very difficult. Joe copes so well with his condition and loves going to his school nursery and learning new things. However, inevitably he can feel left out when the other children are playing in the playground, as he cannot really join in or keep up in his little walker. It would be so amazing for Joe to walk, or even run with the rest of his class.

Having had two MRI scans, bone marrow biopsys, blood test after blood test, X-rays, lots of physio, and seeing lots and lots of specialists, Joe has now been given the chance to have a life changing operation at Leeds General Infirmary.

The operation is called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). This will release the stiffness in Joe's legs, enabling the muscles to move more freely, which will then allow the muscles to be strengthend by intensive physiotherapy. All this will help Joe to be able to stand and walk independently, sit comfortably, and be pain free.

Unfortunately the NHS have no funds for this operation for Joe, so we have to find the funding of £38,000 ourselves.

Thank you for reading Joe's Story xXx
