My story

What is the Rickshaw Run?

Imagine the fastest, safest, most earth-munching all-terrain vehicle in the world. Then imagine the opposite. Three wheels, half a horse power and more fun than any other vehicle on planet earth, the humble Rickshaw is undoubtedly the ultimate long distance, off-road machine. Despite being designed for short distances on road.

Now imagine the bliss of trying to get this untrusty steed over the Himalayas or across the Rajasthan desert. This then is the Rickshaw Run; an unsupported maniac of an adventure which wobbles over thousands of miles of ridiculous terrain. The most stupid and probably the best thing you could possibly do with two weeks.

Why this charity?

One person in every 500 has Parkinson's. That's about 120,000 people in the UK. People with Parkinsons can find that their movements become slower so it takes longer to do things. There's currently no cure and it is not known yet know why people get the condition.

A worthy charity in its own right, but one of the daring team members of Totally Tukd recently discovered that a close member of family suffers from this illness.

Any donation would be really appreciated.

The more money we raise the more bare able this insane challenge will beyou never know, we might even win the rally.

Parkinson’s UK

Parkinson’s UK

Charity Registration No. 258197 and Scotland SC037554

Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s. Because we’re here, no one has to face Parkinson’s alone. We bring people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s. As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity we’re leading the work to find a cure, and we’re closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependent on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
