A group of 40 of us have signed up for a gruelling challenge to trek up Mount Toubkal in the Atlas mountains. As well as the physical challenge of trekking at altitude for 3 days we'll also be camping under the stars with no shower facilities or any of the usual creature comforts we take for granted!

Why are we doing this? To help Camfed continue their truly inspiring work of educating girls and empowering women in sub-Saharan Africa. Since 1993 Camfed have proven that if you educate a girl she is better able to support herself and her family financially, she will tend to marry later, have fewer children and is three times less likely to contract HIV which has sadly resulted in so many orphans in sub-Saharan Africa. Education is the magic ingredient that helps break the cycle of poverty. It only costs £330 to support a girl with everything she needs to stay in school for a whole year. We're aiming to raise £40,000 which will help change the lives of 120 girls!
