Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Tough Mudder events are hardcore 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Most participants are finely tuned athletes, yes......most participants! The people who were too drunk to say no to this gruelling event are as follows and I thank each and every one of them from the bottom of my heart:
Andrew Cole, Andrew Lewis, Jeremy Pearce, Mark Roberts & Warren Thompson.
As some of you know, my Dad, James Clark has Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), which is a rare lung disease which does not currently have a cure. It is a chronic condition characterised by shortness of breath in which the lung tissue becomes scarred over a period of time. The development of the scar tissue is called fibrosis. As the lung tissue becomes scarred and thicker, the lungs lose their ability to transfer oxygen into the bloodstream. As a result, the brain and other organs don’t get the oxygen they need. The scarring typically starts at the edges of the lungs and progresses towards the centre making it more difficult to breathe.
With your generous support, myself and those listed above hope to raise some well needed funds for research in to finding a cure for this horrible illness. Breathing Matters www.breathingmatters.co.uk is a registered charity which specialises in the research of IPF and the support of those affected by it.
Any amount you can give will make a huge difference. So please dig deep and donate now and if you would like a glimpse of what this event has in store for us, please visit www.toughmudder.co.uk/video Thank you for your donation and if you could please forward the link to a couple of people as well we could really make a difference.
