<p>On 1 April 2012, Callum, Zara, Stuart, Katie and Jamie will travel to the Philippines for two weeks to build houses with PCF.</p> <p><strong>Why Philippines? Why Manila?</strong></p> <p>70% live in poverty and scavenge on garbage dumps for rubbish to sell on to stay alive.</p> <p>Our objective is to assist in the building and repairing of slum houses in Manila during the two week outreach.</p> <p>An extract from the PCF website:<br>&ldquo;We work at the heart of slum areas where families build makeshift shanties from second hand pieces of wood and use old tarpaulin and rusty corrugated sheets as roofs."</p>
