ING New York City Marathon 2009 · 1 November 2009 ·

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Hi there - as many of you already know, in a moment of madness earlier this year I signed up for the New York marathon. I will be raising money once again for the National Autistic Society, having seen first hand the really amazing difference it makes to so many people living with autism.

I would be really grateful for any sponsorship you would like to give me in reward for my pain and blisters. The race is now less than two months away, so any money you can donate will really help spur me on as the training is getting tough!

Thanks so much,

Tracey

UPDATE - 3 Oct 2009, managed a 19 miles training run yesterday - was meant to be 20 but never mind! It nearly killed me, I don't think i've ever felt quite so sick, dizzy and sore as I did at the end. Thanks so much for the sponsorship, it really is giving me that little bit of extra motivation which is very much needed now. 4 weeks to go - aargh!

UPDATE - 4 Nov 2009, did it! Finished in 4 hours 36. Thanks to all who sponsored me x
