The treatments, the worry about the future and trying to maintain a normal life for my husband and children devoured every minute of my day. Everything seemed to be such a battle.</p> <p>I really didn't want to go on my Odyssey week. It was going to be so much easier to stay at home and gawp at daytime TV. I didn't know where I was going, what I'd be doing and I'd be with strangers.</p> <p>The Odyssey week was one of the best things I ever did! Through the programmes they had devised for us each day, they showed me that there was still so much to enjoy and ultimately that it was time to move on and take back control of my life.</p> <p>I can't repay Odyssey for all the things they gave me but I'm going to start to try.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
