I bungee jumped from Tower Bridge, London  on Saturday 25th September in aid of Burrswood Christian Hospital. Really scary but such fun and a fab cause.  Please help me raise lots of money for their Access to Care bursary fund which supports individuals unable to afford the cost of Burrswood's unique care.  

As you probably know, Burrswood is an independant 40 bed non surgical hospital based in Groombridge, Kent. The only Christian Hospital in the UK, Burrswood's special combination of medicine and Christian Ministry supports people from all faiths or none. It is brilliant at helping folk like me who have had a few chalenges in life!! Burrswood Hospital offers respite, stepdown and palliative care, with specialist expertise in the managment of CFS (ME), there is also  a specialist care and counselling package and a busy outpatients department offering physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, medical consultations and counselling.

I grew up living at Burrswood with Gareth and Mary Tuckwell from the age of seven.  They are almost my Mum and Dad.  Perhaps that’s why it means so much to me.  Even today, as I come up the drive, the sense of peace overwhelms me.  I so want people like me, who could not otherwise afford help there, to be able to benefit through the Access to Care fund.

 The bungee jump was 160 feet over the Thames.  

It was scary but at least I did it for a really great cause and every pound will really make a difference”.

Burrswood relies on voluntary income to keep its fees to a minimum and to provide bursaries for those in need.
