Story

On Saturday 21st April 2012 I shall be speed walking a challenging 22.09 km route as part of a team of staff and parents from St George's school Harpenden for the Great Curry Run in recognition for the 2209 servicemen killed or wounded in Afghanistan since 2001.

This is my first attempt at tackling the Great Curry Run (or Walk in my case ). When I was a student I was very fortunate to do part of my training at Headley Court, the rehabilitation centre for injured servicemen and women and got to see first hand their hard work and determination to overcome their injuries .My legs may be aching at mile 12 but I shall remind myself how lucky I am that I am able to walk without the use of prosthetic limbs or sticks and hope to help raise vital funds to support the injured soldiers.
