Transaid Week 4 - 6 July 2012

 

Every year, in first week of July, we celebrate Transaid’s vital work by raising funds and awareness for our projects in Africa.  This year we're aiming for £15,000.00 so please join the movement and make your donation now to support Transaid Week.

 

Road crashes kill an estimated 1.3 million people each year globally, and injure up to 50 million more. They are a leading cause of death worldwide for children and young people between the ages of 10-24. Over 90% of the world's road fatalities occur in low and middle income countries, which have only 48% of the world's vehicles.

Transaid’s Professional Driver Training Project is one solution to this crisis and aims to reduce the number of road crashes which occur at an alarming rate, through creating more skilled and safer drivers. Funds raised from Transaid Week will benefit our projects such as Professional Driver Training Project in Zambia and Tanzania and help us to save lives in Africa.
