Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In April 2019 our team will be making the gruelling trek to Basecamp Everest in memory of  Gavin Milton, A good friend and fellow scout leader. Who sadly passed away from cancer last year.

Gavin always had an obsession with Everest. To trek to Everest basecamp had always been on his bucket list and he even came so close to going himself.

In the uk there are more than 360,000 new cancer cases every year, that's nearly 990 every day. One day we will beat this horrible disease.

Gav was a husband, father, son, brother, friend and mentor.

Gav was to be trusted.

Gav was loyal.

Gav was friendly and considerate.

Gav belonged to the worldwide family of Scouts.

Gav had courage in all difficulties.

Gav made good use of time and is careful of possessions and property.

Gav had self-respect and respect for others.

Gav was a Scout!

We've joined together to raise money for Havens Hospice, to help fund their new hospice building. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.

We will post updates on the preparation as well as photos and videos of the journey itself, so those of you at home can come along with us on this once in a lifetime adventure. So check out our Instagrams!
