Hi all,

   Well, what an emotionally charged week, my family are grieving at the loss of 'Mither Mo', Unfortunately 24hrs before the Marathon my Granny Mo passed away. I had originally intended to raise money for her as she fell seriously ill. Granny was in life an inspiration, her life was a true struggle fraught with trauma & tough realities, she was a strong, resolute, honest, affectionate person who adored her family & friends. She was selfless, many locals could tell you a tale or twa of her genourisity & caring nature. Unknown to her she was the jewel of her town & community, her funeral was attended by hundreds, probably closer to a thousand people, a fitting send off to a lady sometimes referred to as the Queen mother, the send off was akin to that of a royal funeral. She leaves behind a legacy in the form of the loved ones left behind, she served as an inspiration in life, she inspires still in the after life, she will no doubt inspire the whole family to do her proud & continue her great legacy.

After a roller coaster of a week, I am pleased to announce I completed the Edinburgh Marathon in a time of 03:39:06. The race itself went better than expected, I managed to avoid the dreaded 'Wall' however the pain post race was, it is safe to say misjudged, 1 week later & I still can't walk. I accept this sufferring to help raise money for those who are fighting for their lives, it isn't too late to help Macmillan Cancer Care & donate.
