This year's Charity is Shelterbox, the amazing Cornwall-based disaster relief charity who deliver emergency shelter and warmth as well as dignity to people made homeless by disaster around the world.

The founder of Shelterbox wanted to provide all the essentials he thought his own family would need if they suddenly lost everything so the box includes everything an extended family needs to survive the aftermath of disaster from a specially designed durable tent to cooking equipment, tools and even colouring books for the children. Boxes are tailored to each disaster and some of the most recent recipients are Syrian refugees and survivors of hurricane Sandy.

A Shelterbox costs £590 and enables an entire extended family to survive the aftermath of disaster. We would love to be able to fund a whole box so please give generously - and what's more if you would like to join in you could be the lucky person enjoying a relaxing 3 night spring or winter break for two at Treworgey. We'll even throw in a delicious three course supper for two from Coombe Kitchen.
