Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. Well, after many months of training we had liftofff! Richmond Park turned out to be even more undulating than I had witnessed during my training, but after 2 hours and 1 minute (and 35 km), I crossed the finish line, having been spurred on by you all. It was a great day.
Just to recap, I'm supporting County Air Ambulance Trust - and there is still plenty of time left to support this great cause (maybe you thought I wouldn't really make it, but Paul has some awful photos to prove that I did...they can be seen for a charitable fee!). Did you know that the first hour after any incident is known as the Golden Hour? This is because of the significantly better chances of survival and recovery if medical attention is received within that first hour. At home, whilst the fields are scenic and country roads are beautiful, routes are generally slow and winding (and often slowed further by Dad's tractors!) and areas can be inaccessible from the main roads. As such County Air Ambulance is a critical resource to achieve a response time within that vital 60 minute Golden period.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer.
Thanks so much for your support!
Trish!
