It has been almost three years since my first trip to .  I trekked the Inca Trail in 2007, the in 2009 and now I am facing my biggest challenge yet. 

Through sponsorship for my treks and through volunteering on a regular basis I have been actively supporting Project ever since first going to .  Project runs a children's refuge in the desert shanty towns of , caring for nearly 40 children. Project Peru is a small, lively, totally voluntary UK-based charity offering food, clothes, education, shelter and fun to those in need in a country where nearly half the population exists on less than one dollar a day. They also support social initiatives in the local community and in the high .

I have been supporting this amazing charity since my first trip.  This year I spent a week in their children’s refuge.  This is a beautiful place run by inspiring women who look after 40 beautiful children all of whom come from extreme poverty.
