A huge 'Thank You' to all our supporters we have raised over £5,000 just waiting for final notes to land!
What a fantastic trip 125 km of the Zambezi day one started with head winds and doubt on getting the kayaking distance completed, but we all knuckled down and made it to camp to be handed a beer and our tents to put up. After a hearty meal sat around a campfire we had limited and strange dreams thanks to the malaria tablets! Day two seemed easier and the hippos, crocs and rapids kept us entertained, getting to camp to the greeting of the local village kids singing the Zambian National Anthem, a visit to their village and another evening under the stars. Day three saw baboons, elephants and more hippos and crocodiles along with the rapids. A fantastic spot for lunch and then an evening listening to the hippos and elephants calling all night. Day four the final of kayak challenge, pushed out the river by angry hippos 300ms before the finish line but still feeling safe and exhilarated thanks to the brilliant guys at Saf Par and Sven our hero! Day five the rapids fast and furious but utterly amazing experience!
