Escape from Merseyside · 22 July 2010

Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

Last year we rode from Wetherby to Filey. Our bums have finally forgiven us so this year we're upping the ante.

On 22nd and 23rd July 2010 we will be riding from Liverpool to Leeds along the canal towpaths, which comes in at 127 miles. However, as we proved last time, there is always scope for an extra few miles. (You wouldn't think so on a canal towpath, but just wait and see...)

More importantly.................

The charity we have decided to support is sense who probably not many people have heard of. sense supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind.

Deafblindess is a term that is used to describe a combination of vision and hearing impairments where some people are both completely deaf and blind. Living with this is extremely challenging, communication, moving around safely and living indepentently. Things we all take for granted.

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP OTHERS!!!!!
