My story

The mid-life crisis has firmly set in!

As I approached 40 my interest in running and triathlons started to increase. I have decided to address this crisis once and for all by running in the London marathon.

I'm sure its going to be lots of fun and lots of pain so I decided to make it worthwhile which is why I am running for "The Snowdon Award Scheme".

What is it all about?

The Snowdon Award Scheme provides grants to students who have physical or sensory disabilities.  These help to fund such essential needs as sign language interpreters, people to take notes, a laptop with special software or other assistive technology, carer's accommodation or mobility equipment – things that push up the already high costs of being a student or trainee.

Their grants can change people's lives. They provide students with the opportunity to access education or training and enjoy a level of independence that would not otherwise be possible.

After sponsoring other people to do all sorts of great challenges I thought it was my turn. I can assure you that I wont be coming back to you anytime soon with my cap in hand, so please give generously to this very worthy cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks for all your support
