I am doing the Three Peaks Challenge on the 5th/6th of September to raise money for Elephants in Nigeria.  This is one of the projects being supported by ERM's UK Foundation.

A heard of 30 elephants were discovered in a forest not far from Lagos in Nigeria about 5 years ago.  This is next to a city of 17 million people!  It is incredible that they are still there and I am now involved in developing a project to create a Wildlife Sanctuary covering three blocks of forest (Omo, Shasha and Oluwa Forest Reserves).  We hope to eventually reconnect these forest blocks so that the elephants will have a larger range than they do at the moment.  The project will involve the local communities and state governments in helping to protect the forests and the elephants.

I want to raise £3000 for the project.  Hence the crazy idea of running up and down 3 mountains in the UK in just 24 hrs!
