Based in Farnham, the charity has a direct impact on the local community. It offers Specialist Palliative Care to adults facing the end of their life and to those who love and care for them, serving a population of 600,000 across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The funds raised through donations and the event on the 24th March will contribute towards providing specialist palliative care to patients and their families who are dealing with terminal illnesses, such as advanced cancer and motor-neurone disease. The Hospice is largely reliant on charitable donations, with only 14% of the hospice&rsquo;s annual budget funded by the NHS.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Twestival is an annual event, where Twitter is used globally to raise money for worthy causes around the world. This Twestival is about bringing time, talent and resource together on one night to make a difference. Twestival is run entirely by volunteers and is a not for profit fundraising event.</p>
