I did it!  I really did it!! I ran the Bath Half Marathon on 7 March.  Running is not my forte, and this was the longest I have ever I run.  Completed in a fair time, too, 2hrs 22 mins (though the Kenyan winner did it in a stunning 1:03).  My place in the race was 9286th (laughs at herself) out of 15,727 entrants, so plenty of scope for improvement should I decide to do such a thing again.

Great atmosphere, great crowd of runners, and lots of enthusiastic spectators.  It was quite amazing, looking ahead and seeing a solid stream of bouncing heads for the runners ahead, and then looking back when turning a corner and seeing even more bouncing heads behind.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable time, even if the aches and complaining joints afterwards gave cause for a restless night.
