UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who helped me do this, whether you joined me, donated, shared the page, watched the stream, or helped in any other way! The full stream can be found in 2 parts here: http://www.twitch.tv/tyzer193/profile/pastBroadcasts
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
You can find the livestream at the time/date below, on my Twitch.tv channel: http://www.twitch.tv/tyzer193 ; go ahead and follow my channel in advance so you will be alerted when I start!
This Tuesday (20th August), from approximately 7pm GMT, I'm doing a livestream of myself playing non-stop Halo for 24 hours straight! This serves multiple purposes because I've been wanting to try out livestreaming for a while now, I wanted to do something for the occasion of some new content released for Halo 4, and I wanted to do something charity-oriented during the Summer holidays. It also is a little bit of a personal goal of mine, I've always said that I could never play games for that long non-stop, this is the time to find out!
Obviously, the main purpose of this is to attempt to raise awareness and hopefully some money for Les Bourgs Hospice, who support residents of the Bailiwick of Guernsey who have life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. They are completely funded by the public, with no financial support from the government. They also looked after my Grandma in her later times, and I'm told that she was given really great care, so I'd love to try and give something back.
Now, if you're from Guernsey, you'll know that our internet is horribly slow, in terms of upload speed, so with 0.6mbps upload, sadly the video isn;t as great quality as I would like it to be. Still, it's workable and I'll try to keep it as interesting as possible. If you feel like joining in on the fun, head onto XBL during the stream and send me an invite, I'd love to have you join me!
UPDATE: BS Angel, Community Manager over at at 343i, has been fantastic and hooked me up with some avatar, gamer picture and theme codes to give away during the stream, tune in for a chance to snag one!
It has taken a lot of experimenting, organisation and testing, so please, if you can, donate something towards this great cause - every little helps! Thank you!
