Hello Everyone!

This May we will be biking the length of the United-Kingdom to show support for Wangari Maathai's Greenbelt organization and we need your help!

The trek is 900 miles (1,500 km) from Land's End to John O'Groats and knowing the folks back home are in this with us might just make sure we don't collapse somewhere in the Lake District. This scheme of ours originally started as an eco-friendly way to see the UK, but has since then morphed into a fundraiser when we realized that we could put our miles to good use. Our hope is to inspire our peers, family and friends to join us in our support of green initiatives. No, no, don't worry, we are not asking you to go on your own length-of-the-country bike treks (though that would be great!).

Instead, we would love it if you could show financial support by making a small donation (or large, we like those too), to this great organization which is working to empower women, fight land degradation in Kenya and spread environmental awareness among Kenyans. All fundraising will go directly to the Greenbelt Movement and the great news is, you can do it all via the internet on this website, right now!

Our goal is to raise XXX dollars and even the littlest bit helps!

Thank you for all of your pennies, cents, pence and anything more!

There is also a great documentary out about her work called Taking Root which is another great way to learn more about this powerful and charismatic female activist.
