Final Update

The Bradford team have managed to raise £15,366 bringing the total to **£25,500***

Where will the money be spent!
With the amount raised we can deliver the following projects:

  • 2 Horticultural Gardens in Mauritania (Africa) - Costing £8600 in total.
This project is expecting to start in the next week and implemented by early next year. Pictures will be provided once available.
  • 5-6 deep boring water wells (depending on the region) - Costing £6000 in total. (One well in Bangladesh already delivered. See link to picture below)

The remaining wells will be built in regions where the need is the greatest.
  • 9 Hand pumps in Bangladesh - Costing £900
  • 2 new dormitories for the Ummah Children Academy (UCA) school in Pakistan, catering for 12 additional Orphans - Costing £10,000
Once the projects have been delivered the estimated direct beneficiaries will amount to over 2200 with over 20,000 indirectly benefited.
Thanks again for your support and I hope I can count on your support for future charity projects.

We are a group of 7 brothers who are going to trek around 50km (30 miles) of the Great Wall of China in April 2010 to raise money for two worthy projects.

The first project will involve setting up at least one horticultural garden for two hundred women in Mauritania, Africa.

This income generation project will indirectly benefit 10,000 people. More information on this project can be found on the following link:

http://www.uwt.org/site/project_details.asp?id=201

Our second project will involve the building of at least one water well in rural Bangladesh, which will be managed by Hope Foundation Trust (Reg no. 1125660).

Water is one of the prime essentials in life. Yet millions of people around the world have no access to water and the crisis continues.

The direct beneficiaries of this project will be approx 30 households.

Thanks in advance for your generous donation
