Cycle for Malawi - John O'Groats to Lands End with www.UberGirl.co.uk & Moni Malawi · 27 September 2010

The purpose of the charity is to advance education, improve healthcare and relieve poverty in Malawi with a particular, but not exclusive, focus on children and young adults. The aim in year one is build a school which will be used to teach 1500 children, 503 of whom are orphans.

Story

UberGirl United Kingdom & Ireland modelling competition (www.UberGirl.co.uk) is cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End to raise money for Moni Malawi, a charity whose aim is to "advance education, improve health, and relieve poverty generally in  with a particular focus on children and young adults".  Funds raised in this appeal will go towards building a school in Malawi. Once complete the school will be used to teach 1,500 children, 503 of whom are orphans, who live within 2 kilometres of the school.

UberGirl cyclists are taking a longer route to Lands end crossing the UK twice, in order to visit as many cities and towns as they can to raise as much money as possible. The cyclists will cycle an average of 94 miles per day over 12 continuous days totalling approximately 1136 Miles to reach Lands end.
