Ulfa Aid works to support those who are marginalised, isolated and vulnerable across the globe and here at home, via Ulfa UK. Globally, we have worked in Pakistan & Indonesia following natural disasters. This year in the UK we have set up the unique Rumi's Cave & Rumi's Kitchen community projects.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Ulfa Aid's Justgiving Page.

" The best among mankind is the one who benefits mankind" (Saying of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

Ulfa Aid was set up in 2004 by Sheikh Babikir Ahmed Babikir, the Imam at Yusuf Islam's Islamia school, primarily to assist the homeless across the globe of which there are approximately 1 billion. Set up as a relief agency, we are now expanding our programmes to address a range of social and community needs.

Ulfa Aid is based around the basic human foundation of love and mercy, And hopes to benefit the community by working with them, and for them. We wish to open up Ulfa Aid to the wider community, our family and welcome them to work together to curtail homelessness, social injustices and to provide relief and education for the needy nationally and internationally.

Donations for Ulfa Aid would be greatly appreciated as we have many upcoming projects which would be beneficial to the community:

-Charity Shop; Ulfa Aid hopes to open up it's first Charity Shop in the coming months, based in North West London selling High end quality products which people have donated. As well as having space for a meeting room to train volunteers.

-Hospital Visiting the Sick Scheme; We hope to recruit groups of volunteers who will then be trained by learned teachers on the etiquettes and manners on visiting not only Muslim patients, but Non-Muslim's as well in hospitals.

"A Muslim visiting his sick brother will continue to be in the harvest of paradise until he or she returns home" (Muslim)

-Soup Kitchen; The United Kingdom is one of the countries that wastes the greatest amount of food. The idea is to organise contracts with caterers around London, so that instead of throwing the food away, it's packed in neat containers, and then in turn distributed to the homeless around London in Vans.

-Volunteering Abroad; If you are a Medic or Dentist or Optom and have a few weeks to spare, then why not volunteer for Ulfa Aid abroad using your skills. We would take a group of volunteers to countries which really needed medical, dental aid and eye care.

This is the proposed plan for Ulfa Aid in the coming years, but we would greatly appreciate donations to make this a reality.

Thank you for taking the time out to read our page :-)

Ulfa Aid Team!

Registered Charity No. 1102943
