We are raising funds towards the University’s £2 million fundraising campaign for the Sheffield Scanner - a ground-breaking MRI-PET scanner facility, and the first of its kind in Yorkshire. The Sheffield Scanner will represent the next leap forward in medical and imaging research and have a crucial role for research and patients in many areas of medicine, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, heart disease, diabetes and stroke.

I'm going to attempt the 110km Ultimate Trails Challenge which is a testing 110km
ultra marathon course through some of the most dramatic mountain  scenery in the Lake District. The tough, challenging course will certainly live up to it's billing as the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK. The 110km route also includes 6 mountain passes, 5 lakes, 14,000 ft ascent/descent along with 10 memorable feed stations.

This is the toughest race for me so far and I'm not sure if I can do it but I'm going to give it a good go. Training is going well here are some of my previous races
