We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, thanks for any support you are able to provide.

In Nov 2012 my niece Ella died from bone cancer age just 20 after more  than 18 months fighting the disease. During that time Ella was passionate that more should be done to understand the causes of cancer in young people and to provde facilities for their treatment. These are the aims of her chosen charity The Teenage Cancer Trust, who among many other things are funding new local units for young cancer patients, incuding one in Bristol, where Ella lived.

In August 2012, Ella was given the all clear and she threw herself to organsiing a charity bike ride to raise money for the trust. Just three months later the cancer was back, she never saw har plan through, but we are doing the ride in her memory on July 20/21 2013, cycling the 80 miles from Bristol to Glastonbury and back (something else Ella always wanted to do, but never had time to, was to go to the Glastonbury festival).
