This charity has supported Adam Wagster whose son Zac was
born with a heart defect and required major surgery. ”My son Zac was born with a heart defect and required major surgery at 3 months old. The operation was done at Alder Children’s Hospital and after 7 hours of open-heart surgery Zac was put into intensive care; we stayed at the hospital at Ronald McDonald House for 2 weeks whilst Zac recovered and during that time we got a very good insight to the great work the people at Alder Hey do. I think seeing kids, some just babies, undergoing life-threatening operations is something that really gives perspective to the important things in life and the work the people do at hospitals like Alder Hey are unbelievable. Any extra help and funding they can get goes a long way and makes a huge difference”
