Hello!

And thanks for taking the time to visit our latest fundraising page as we continue the massive task of trying to raise a quarter of a million pounds for CLIC Sargent Children with Cancer via our team fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/teams/target250k

Our late summer challenge this August (26th-28th) sees 14 of us tackle the huge task of cycling from Central London to the Eiffel Tower in Paris over 3 days, approximately 270 miles, and hill climbing equivalent to half the ascent of Mt Everest. A massive massive challenge for us all but one we are all training hard for and really looking forward to.

The money that we hope to raise and the difference that we continue to make to all the children and young people with cancer who are supported so well by CLIC Sargent will make every ache and pain well worth it.

The Veronica Claxton memorial fund is a fund I set up in memory of my mum Veronica Claxton who we sadly lost to Cancer aged 50 in December 2008. We continue to try and serve her memory as well as we can and our current fundraising efforts have seen well over £170,000 donated to various good causes.

So please if you can, get behind your friends and  family who are joining me in this brilliant challenge by sparing anything you can to help us reach our £6,000 target and to make a massive difference to the lives of  Children living with Cancer.

The full squad of 14 will be made up by Me (Luke Claxton), Patrick Claxton, Steve Smith, James Hustwayte, Ade Tattersall, Greig Sarath, Michael Parsons, Gareth Bell, Daniel Moyes, Mark Ling, Craig Green, Liam Johnson, Glen Huddle, and Nick Dean. With a fantastic 5 man support crew of Andy Claxton, Martin Claxton, Darren Rayner, Danny 'Spud' Smith and Gary Baillie.

While we have funded a large part of this trip ourselves we thank the local businesses who have rallied round us and contributed some much needed funds towards our running costs. Your company names and logos will be displayed on our support vehicles all the way to Paris.

Thank you for your fantastic loyal support. See you at the finish line.
