hope you are all well!

It's been a while since I took part to a charity event, so I'm back with a new bike ride challenge and fundraising. Would you be as generous as usual? I know you will! Many thanks in advance!!!

This time I am extremely proud to raise money for Emergency, a humanitarian organization founded in Italy in 1994 (Italian website: http://www.emergency.it; English website: http://www.emergencyuk.org/) that provides *FREE*, high quality medical and surgical treatment to the victims of war, landmines and poverty and promotes a culture of peace and respect of human rights all over the world.

I've been supporting EMERGENCY for years now and the thing I always found most fascinating is how this international effort (Emergency has now treated more than 5 million people and built hospitals in 16 different countries!) originated from the simple idea, love and actions of the surgeon Gino Strada's family. That always showed me the potential (and possibly the duty) everybody has to make an impact for a better world (take a look at the video of the interview to Gino Strada I posted in 'My gallery' section). 

I signed up for the 50 mile route on July 7th, but if we hit the £1,000 target (hope so!!!), and if there won't be nasty weather (hey, I know what you are thinking here, but let's be positive!), I will switch to the (scary!) 100 mile route! That would be my longest bike ride ever!
