Graeme and I have done quite a few challenge events over the past few years, we have not undertaken a challenge over the past couple of years due to many reasons. So this year we have decided to do the...... 

Thames Path Challenge (http://www.thamespathchallenge.com) 

This will involve us doing 50km, we are doing this because we want to really try and make a difference and give cancer a fight! Whether we make £50 or £1,500, we are doing this for our treasured family and friends who had so much life left in them, so much more to do and say and cancer has stolen that from them and them from us. Our lives are left that bit more empty because these great people are no longer here but they are and will always be in our hearts and thoughts.

The horrifying truth is that one in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. 

Macmillan Cancer Support provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
