Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and sponsoring this madness!
In April 2018, I will be part of two 8 strong(ish) teams rowing across the North Sea from Ramsgate to Nieuwpoort, Belgium in an effort to raise money for Age UK.
We are aiming to complete the row in under 24 hours (that is 24 hours cold, wet, tired, blistered, seasick and struggling in a rowing boat).
The aim of this madness is to increase awareness and raise money for the great work that Age UK do to combat loneliness and improve health and well being in old age. 1.2 million older people are chronically lonely. Loneliness causes depression, increases the likelihood of strokes and heart attacks by a third, and doubles the risk of Alzheimer's disease.
With Credit Suisse’s support, Age UK will help over 30,000 older people by offering vital advice, support and friendship.
