We provide hospice care for babies, children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their families. Hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Story

Firstly we want to thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Jamie and Laura at Vaughan Electrical Installations Ltd have decided to enter a physical challenge that is a 50 km walk through the peak district hills in the autumn with an aim to raise money for a great charity which has close connections to our family business.

We wanted to let you know how the money you donate will impact the amazing charity we have decided to support Little Harbour.

Little Harbour is a lovely Children's Hospice set in a spectacular coastal location overlooking St. Austell Bay with beautiful views out to sea. Little Harbour opened its doors to its first families in December 2011 and is most conveniently situated for families who live in Cornwall, Plymouth and parts of South Devon.

Little Harbour offers rest bite for family's with children who require around the clock care and have a life-limiting condition and end of life care. They provide a safe and secure environment to enable families to make long lasting memories which they can cherish for a lifetime.

They also take the time to offer support to the families additional siblings which gives parents the opportunity to have some time together to collect themselves up and go again stronger than ever as a unit.

We have chosen Little Harbour with our family in mind, the help they have given to my cousin Kelly and her husband Jake who have 3 amazing children, Millie (9 years), Isla (5 years) and Jacob (4 years).

Jacob has a condition called Tapvd (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage) and also had a stroke when he was 1 day old which requires a lot of additional help day to day which takes a lot of Kelly and Jakes time up. This aside Jacob is the most amazing little boy who has from day one defied all odds to be in our crazy family. He amazes us all daily with the strength and determination and his infectious smile.

Amazingly he started his first day of school today which wasn't Deemed possible by doctors at birth), so that gives you a little insight into the incredible little man he is. Millie and Isla are the best big sisters to Jacob and no matter what is thrown at them they continue to be superstars.

It would mean the absolute world if you could please make a small donation which will go along way to help Little Harbour continue to provide the very best care in the most difficult circumstances.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Thank you in advance from Laura, Jamie and the team @ Vaughan Electrical Installations Ltd
