Story
There will always be a point in life that you decide you want to do something for others; or somebody else decides for you that this is the time.
After a day of drinking in Paris with colleagues somebody came up with a brilliant idea:
"Let's ride our bicycles from the Bauhaus hostel in Bruges to the Flying Pig in Amsterdam and raise money for the school in Kenya that we as Beds&Bars are building and maintaining."
Not knowing what I was getting myself into (french wine makes you think you are invincible) I was highly excited about the plan and said yes...and now it will actually happen!!
About 15 of us are going to cycle 240 km's from April 16-19 and we'll have 2 stop-overs. For some this might not be a challenge ( Sirtse Jansen ;)) but the people that know me, will understand that for me this is a huge challenge.
Just to give you an idea: The last time I went to a gym was to ask if I could only use the sauna and I prefer to ride my bike with the dog so I don't have to peddle too hard :).
I can guarantee you that my dog stays at home and that I will do this on my own.
Nobody can do without support though; that's why I am asking you to help me out raising money for this great charity, named Build Africa.
Any little amount you can miss will make a big difference in the lives of the kids in Minyalala Primary school.
Moral support is awesome but money will get me cycling :)
