Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March 2009 my niece, Grace Turner, was diagnosed with an in-operable cancerous brain tumour. Only two months later she passed away, at just five years of age. The last few weeks of her young life were spent at Helen and Douglas House, a hospice that provides specialist palliative and respite care for children and young adults, as well as end of life and bereavement care. The care is provided by a team of doctors, nurses, carers and therapists and is second to none. Their dedication and commitment helps to make what is a very difficult time that bit easier. Unfortunately, less than 20% of the 4.5 million it costs to run the hospice house comes from the public sector so the hospice relies heavily on donations. I aim to raise as much money as I can so that other families can receive the extraordinary level of care and support that we did. Please help by donating whatever you can. Every penny really will count. Thank you!
