My story
WE DID IT!!! thank you very much everyone for your support. although there is still time to donate if you havent already.
After a few unsuccessful attempts to enter the London Marathon, I have decided that if I am going to do something for charity now is the time.
Cancer has affected so many people I care about, within the last year both my mum and step-mum have been unfortunate enough to get the dreaded diagnosis. I have felt completely helpless, but I have finally found something I can do to show my support to my mum, step-mum, and the thousands of other people affected by cancer. I have very vivid memories of the wonderful Macmillan nurse who took us aside when my mum was told, to answer all our questions and who even appeared by her side in hospital. The guys at Macmillan do so much to help people with cancer and their families which is particularly important after the shock of the diagnosis, when you don’t really know the questions to ask, or really understand what the doctor has said.
It is this reason that I decided to run for a cancer charity and in particular Macmillan cancer support. 26.2 miles is a VERY long way, and appears longer every time I think about it, I really hope you can take the time to support me, or my brother, who by some strange chance I managed to convince it would be a good idea to run it with me (

Thank you everyone who had supported me so far, I am delighted to say I endured 22degC heat, to complete the marathon in 5 Hrs, 20 min and 7 sec. For all those of you who were holding off donating until I finished-I did it!!! You still have time to donate to a wonderful cause.
