This year is a year for more challenges in my life and for living it to the full, for trying new things and pushing my limits. Living it for all those who have lost their lives to Cancer, all those people I have known and those I have cared for over the last few years.

Especially for my sister Julie, who sadly died last year, for my other sister, who has battled cancer and has thankfully recovered and for my Nana, who lived a long life but lost it to Cancer. For my Father-in-law, Ray and his close friend who both battled cancer and died and for all those people who are experiencing Cancer in their lives. It touches everyone.

I get to swim in Windermere, in glorious surroundings and at the same time raise money for a great cause. Some of you know I swim a lot and it might seem like not much of a challenge, but I actually find open water swimming anxiety provoking! The inability to see the bottom, the depth, the potential creatures..............eeek (does Windermere have a monster?), not to mention the crush of 600 other swimmers that will make me panic further. Believe me this will be a challenge.  So please, please donate what you can:-)
