Story
Thank you for taking the
time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the ‘Run to the Beat’ Half Marathon on Sunday 26 September for Brain Tumour UK!
Tony Morris, my daddy, died on 11 March 2000 from a brain tumour at the early age of 43 years.
He was a remarkable, intelligent and such loving person, who cared about nothing more than his family and friends. He was hardworking and strong-minded, achieving such superiority in everything he did. He meant more than anything to my mum, sister’s and I, causing us such heartache and pain since his loss. No family or individual deserves to experience such grief and unhappiness which is why it is tremendously important to do everything we can to prevent such dismay.
I am running the half-marathon to raise money for Brain Tumours UK. Brain Tumours UK is a charity which has an impressive track record of providing practical and emotional support to brain tumour patients and their families.
The money raised will help to increase awareness and knowledge of brain tumours and research into the disease, improve access to information and support and enhance treatment and care within the UK.
Now, this is where you come in - please dig deep and donate to this very worthy cause ...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
And to all my sponsors, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have never attempted a half marathon before but I am determined to make it to that finishing line, come hell or high water in memory of such an amazing father!!
Every penny you give goes on research into diagnosing, preventing and treating cancer.
It’s YOU who makes the difference!!
Lots of love
