The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

Hi All

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I have now COMPLETED this year's Virgin London Marathon and what a challenge it was. A fantstaic day.  Very emotional seeing all the good work and effort people are putting in, to raise much needed funds for charity.  I am getting near to reaching my  goal of £2,500 for the ME Association but still have some way to go.  As many of you know, this charity does fantastic work to support people like my mum, who suffer from ME.

Taking part in this fantsastic has helpped me go some way in understanding what ME sufferers deal with on a dialy basis (fatigue, muscle soreness and mental strength to accomplish tasks).   The pain is agonising (especially the 24 hours after the race). The difference for me is this is only short term discomfort and pain, but for those with ME, it is a permenant reality.

Any donation (big or small) will be so greatfully received and you can be rest assured that your donation will have a massive impact on the charities work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you all for your support. We've given it our best shot but Julie and I hope it all now won't be in vain.
