Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Myself and one of my work colleagues are walking to raise awareness and much needed funds for this amazing charity.

Dementia is a heart breaking illness which could affect every single one of us in some way. I dread to think that anyone I love could be taken into a world where they struggle to remember their loved ones or that the world suddenly becomes a very frightening place for them to be.

We are doing this walk to raise money to ensure people suffering from dementia and their families get the help and support they need to make the world a little less scary and also to help raise awareness.

This is a personal challenge for all both of us - we have different levels of fitness and it may be a struggle at times however we are determined to complete it together.

We also appreciate that it seems like everyone is fundraising for something these day so if you can support us, however small, it will be very much appreciated.
