I feel so lucky to be given a chance to join a group of amazing women all tackling the unique 'Women V Cancer' challenge. We will cycle a massive 400km [248 miles] in Kenya, over 5 days. Please see WOMEN V CANCER CYCLE RIDE for details. 

This  challenge will help to raise awareness and funds for research into breast cancer, cervical cancer and ovarian cancer.

I am doing this incredible challenge for a few reasons - 2 years ago, my step mum was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Thankfully she is now in remission, which is mostly thanks to the research that is done into the disease, most of which is funded by charities like this. These cancers could affect any of us as women, or the women that we care most about.

I need to raise AT LEAST £2800.00 in order to qualify to go. Almost half of that goes to pay for my flights and accommodation etc. so I am hoping and aiming to try and raise a bit more than the qualifying figure.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. If you are a family member, please send a cheque made out to 'Women V Cancer', as family do not qualify for the Gift Aid. The Justgiving charges will be subtracted from your donation. Everyone else, the charges are subtracted from the Gift Aid.

So please donate? Every penny helps someone's sister, daughter, mother, friend...to survive cancer, and towards finding a way to diagnose it earlier or finding a cure.
