Most people choose to set resolutions on the 1st January - mine always start on 25th January! Big things always happen on the 25th January and I didn't want 2011 to be any different! My resolution is a challenge - I want to lose 4 stone 7lbs (63lbs in total) by 1st September 2011, and I’m hoping that you think this is worth donating a bob or two.
The charity I have chosen is related to researching a condition which not only affects me but also so many other women, but awareness is very low.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2006, and that was only after much nagging at my doctors. I knew it was a possibility as it's a hereditary condition. Treatment contained it for quite a while but in the last 18 months it has accelerated dramatically and I am now at stage four. I want this challenge to not only benefit me but also raise awareness and hopefully find treatments to stop other women going through any pain.
There’s a lot of pounds to shift - I promise to keep this updated with my weekly progress and if you fancy joining me at a spinning class, stopping me eating a millionaire shortbread or just donating then its all gratefully received!
