Rachel and I love a challenge.  Between the two of us, we've travelled the world, climbed mountains and glaciers, trekked through the jungle, skiied in the Arctic midnight sun, backpacked across Africa, and scuba dived with sharks.  We've even walked right round the coast of the Isle of Wight!

Running a marathon seemed like a great idea for our next adventure.

We're both very lucky to have had all these opportunities, and know there are many people who can only dream about these things.  That's why we've chosen Whizz-Kidz as our charity; they provide customised mobility equipment, training and support to children and young people throughout the UK, helping them to become independent, confident and happy, and have their own adventures!

We've never run a marathon before, so we'll be training hard through the winter, running through rain and slush, braving the cold, whilst all sensible people are tucked up warm indoors.  Please make our efforts worthwhile, and help us reach our fundraising target of £4000.  This sum could provide two specialised sports wheelchairs to help sporty children train, or allow Whizz-Kidz to hold several skills training courses building confidence and friendships, or provide a powered wheelchair that will give independence to a young person.
