Story
Back in 2013, Bramhall Runners were approached by Barry Thompson to help him raise a staggering £150,000 for The Christie charity. The idea is that 150 runners will each raise £150 by running the Manchester Marathon. The £150,000 will build a brand new oncology unit at The Christie for teenagers suffering from cancer.... Myself and Claire decided to run Manchester Marathon as a relay team of two. Living in Manchester, The Christie will have affected all our lives in one way or another, whether it's having treatment there ourselves, or having friends or family who are being treated, helped or supported by them.
My Dad took part in a clinical trial for a new cancer drug 10 years ago, whilst it didn't stop his cancer it has now helped other people beat cancer.
I want to give something back, so I hope that you will help me achieve this.
