On Saturday 24thof October, I am running In The Human Race 10k run in Victoria Park, East London.
I have chosen to raise money for the Cystinosis Foundation UK. The Cystinosis Foundation is a charity close to my heart because early this year my good friend’s baby Jack, who was at the tender age of just 1 year’s old, lost his life to Cystinosis. Jack Jack, as many knew him, was only with us for a very short time but made a huge impact on everyone who was lucky enough to meet him & spend time with him. He is truly missed by many. Unfortunately Cystinosis is such a rare type of illness that it is not highly recognised by many, so donations are sometime’s hard to find. In order to help find a cure for such an illness and hopefully save a young child’s life like Jack Jack – we are trying to raise some money for the charity and show our support. This is where you guys come in!! I would greatly appreciate any donations you can make towards me getting through the 10k run and (ok….. for some, that might not be that far, but it is far enough for meJ) and more importantly, helping to support the Cystinosis Foundation. If you would like to learn more about the Cystinosis Foundation UK, please have a look through the website - http://www.cystinosis.org.uk/ On completion of the run, I will let everyone know how I did and how much money we managed to raise! Thank you for all your help and support … xxxxxx
