On 1st September I will embark on a challenge of a lifetime - to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. I love a challenge, me. But I’d be lying if I thought this was easy.
I’ve skied in the Alps (10,000 feet high)
I’ve jumped from a plane (13,500 feet high)
...but this mountain is something else...
...a full 20,000 feet high(that’s nearly 6km – yes 6km!)...
...and to top it off, I suffer from vertigo.
So please support me in my 20,000 ft climb, and donate to one of my two chosen charities: The Tanzania Development Trust. This charity is run by volunteers. Their aim is to relieve poverty and improve health in Tanzania through small-scale development projects in Education, Health, and Social Services, water supplies, community facilities, and the promotion of self-help activities.
I can genuinely say your sponsorship will spur me on and lift me from a dark moment when I’ll feel I can’t go on. I’ll remember why I’m doing it, who’s rooting for me, and it should give me the push I need. I should also take this opportunity to say this challenge is 100% self-funded so 100% of your sponsorship money goes directly to the charity. So if you’d like to donate to The Tanzania Development Trust click on the Donate Now button below. Thank you, it means so much.

I’ve actually decided to do this challenge for two charities. One UK charity that is close to mine and my family's hearts and one local, voluntary charity in Tanzania. This is because I am sure when I set foot in my first camp in Tanzania I will be surrounded by people far less fortunate than ourselves and I’ll want to do something about that. Both are worthwhile charities. So, I’ve set up TWO JustGiving pages. This is my Tanzania Development Trust page. Click on this link if you would like to donate to The Alzheimer's Society on my other JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Thank you.
