Story
It was the morning of 15th August 2002 and little did we know how much a simple knock on the door would become such a life changing moment.
With Chris aged just 13 and myself aged 10 we learnt the news that our father PC Bryan Moore and his colleague PC Andy Munn were killed when trying to pursue a drunk driver.
Care Of Police survivors, a charity dedicated to helping families with such tragedies, has been a monumental support network for us and our family. We cannot emphasise enough just now much COPS has helped to rebuild our lives.
We will be honouring the memory of our father and Andy along with many other police officers from the East Midlands who died in the line of duty by cycling 180miles in just 2 days.
As a team we will overcome an emotional and physical effort to meet the families at the arboretum on the Sunday for the National Police Memorial service.
All we are asking is for a small contribution towards our justgiving to help support families like ours. Unfortunately it will be a family that will keep on growing.
