Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My friends son Charlie was just 3 months old when he was taken to Medway Hospital with breathing difficulties, little did Lisa and Gregg know about the journey that they were about to face. After having different tests and procedures the consultant dealing with Charlie referred him to the Royal Brompton Hospital. Charlie was diganoised with Tracheomalacia and Pectus Excavatum whereby, every time he takes a breath his chest wall pushes against his heart which then puts pressure onto the windpipe. He is also struggling to gain weight and was put on a high calorie milk, and he is now slowly putting on weight. Charlie's constultant at Medway Hospital who works on Dolphin Ward has provided Charlie with such wonderful care and support. He will always see Charlie and if Lisa has any worries or concerns will always be on the end of the phone. Charlie is now 17 months old and is still attending regular appointments at both Medway and Brompton Hospital. Not only Charlie but both of my beautiful Nieces Olivia and Harriet have spent time on the Dolphin ward as well when they were babies. So as a way of appreciation for all that Charlie's constultant and the staff have done at Medway Hospital, on Saturday 22nd June 2013 Lisa and myself are going to walk Mount Snowdon to raise money as we cannot say thank you enough xxx
